My Inspirations

Every great journey starts somewhere, and mine begins with my mom. Growing up, I watched her transform ordinary moments into memories worth treasuring. My mother raised me with an open-door policy and always made sure that people knew they were welcome in our house. In fact, in high school I lived one mile away from my school and my mom advocated for my house to be the designated hangout spot. I cannot count the number of days I spent in the pool with friends or watching movies on my couch. My friends always thanked my mom for letting my house be a second home to them, and this inspired me to always want to create an inclusive environment that gave people the warmth my home gave me. Whether it was a simple family dinner or a milestone celebration, she had this gift for making people feel seen and valued—and that's what inspired me to become an event planner. She taught me that the heart of any event isn't about the perfect decorations or the fanciest catering (though those help!). It's about creating spaces where people feel genuinely cared for. That lesson from my mom shaped my entire philosophy of "People Prioritized Party Planning," and it remains the north star guiding every event I create today.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of planning events for my friends, family, and organizations who trusted me with their most important moments. From planning sisterhood events that bond over 50 girls together to intimate surprise birthday parties, I've been blessed to witness how connections blossom and love grows in the right environment. The love my friends provide me when they show up inspires me to put my all into the environment I create. Every thank-you note, every video of guests dancing, every story someone shares about "that amazing party" reminds me why I do this. Event planning, when done with intention and compassion, has the power to impact lives. That's what keeps me inspired to grow, learn, and push my creative boundaries every single day.
While my mom lit the initial spark, I stay inspired through constant learning and creative exploration. I'm an avid Pinterest enthusiast (https://www.pinterest.com/), where I curate boards filled with color palettes, photography ideas, and innovative themes that spark ideas for my clients' visions. But Pinterest alone isn't enough—I regularly read articles on event planning trends such as The Knot Guest List Manager: How to Use & FAQ and use psychology-driven design to stay ahead of the curve. This commitment to continuous learning keeps my ideas fresh and helps me offer my clients not just events, but thoughtfully curated experiences that reflect their values and personalities.
